Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025 · Effective immediately upon account creation.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Storyomi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the service. Storyomi is currently in beta; access may be revoked at any time during this period without notice or liability.
Use of Storyomi constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
Who Can Use Storyomi
You must be at least 13 years old to use Storyomi. By accessing or using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must review and consent to these Terms on your behalf before you use the service.
Users under 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent prior to account creation.
Your Content & Intellectual Property
You retain 100% ownership of everything you create on Storyomi — your stories, characters, scripts, dialogue, art assets, and any other original content you author or upload. By publishing a game, you grant Storyomi a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, transcode, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and making your game available to players.
You can revoke this licence at any time by unpublishing or permanently deleting your game from Storyomi.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Storyomi to publish, upload, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise disrupt the platform, its APIs, or its underlying infrastructure. You may not use automated tools to access or interact with the service without prior written consent.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate and permanent account termination without refund or appeal.
Beta Software
Storyomi is pre-release, beta-stage software under active development. Features, interfaces, and data structures may change, break, or be removed at any time without advance notice. We do not provide any Service Level Agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee during the beta period. While your data is handled with care and good faith, we cannot guarantee zero data loss during this phase of development.
By using the beta, you acknowledge that instability, data loss, and breaking changes are inherent risks of pre-release software.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Storyomi service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Storyomi expressly disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Storyomi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.
Storyomi's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to access it.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and endeavour to provide reasonable notice — such as an in-app notification or email — for significant revisions. Your continued use of Storyomi after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using Storyomi and may request deletion of your account.
